SAT Testing  All juniors taking the SAT on Wednesday, April 8th. Any student needing transportation must sign up in the main office. 

Parent Teacher Conferences Tuesday, March 24th  4:30-7:30 Conferences are drop in format for parents inside the teachers' classrooms.   

Spring Break Starts Monday, March 30th– Monday, April 6th 

Two 15-20 minute meetings about the upcoming SAT test will be held for the parents of Juniors during parent teacher conferences March 24. Meetings will begin at 4:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. in the DHS Library and will familiarize parents with the digital SAT test format. Parents will learn how to gain full access to digital practice tests in CollegeBoard and be introduced to the BigFuture School mobile app, a free online resource that helps students plan and pay for college, explore careers and access test scores.

Class of 2027 - you must take all three assessments (SAT, WIN and MSTEP) as part of your graduation requirements. If you don’t complete all three this year, you will have to make up all three next year!  Students can prepare now by signing into Bluebook using their College Board account login to access digital practice tests. Digital Readiness Sessions will be held with students two to three weeks prior to the testing dates. Big Future is a free online resource that helps students plan for college, pay for college and explore careers. Additionally, students may access their test scores on the Big Future app.

Diamonds Are Forever Prom 2026 Saturday, April 25, Lafayette Grand. Arrive at school no later than 4:45 p.m. Buses will leave promptly at 5 p.m. Tickets are $90 each if you use cash or check, $93 if you use a card for processing fee. Seniors ONLY allowed to purchase tickets starting Monday, March 16-Wednesday, March 18. Juniors may begin buying tickets on Thursday, March 19. Seniors can still purchase during that time. If you are buying a ticket for an outside guest, your guest must be approved before you buy their ticket. You can get your ticket, but no guest tickets will be sold until your guest is approved.

Anime Club: Meeting Alert!  Looking for a community that shares your passion for Japanese animation? Join us for our next meeting and connect with like-minded fans in a safe, fun, and welcoming space. Here is what you can expect at our meetings: • This week, we will be drawing our favorite Anime characters. Why should you join? It’s simple: Make new friends, explore new genres, and relax and have fun after a long school day. Don't be a stranger—come hang out and find your squad! See you there!

Davison High School Skeet Club  To participate, students must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, have excellent attendance, and demonstrate positive behavior consistent with the Cardinal Code and school discipline expectations. Students must also have a Hunter’s Safety Certificate. The Skeet Club will meet every Thursday after school beginning at the end of March at the Grand Blanc Huntsman's Club. If you are interested in joining, please see Mr. Quertermous in the main office to sign up. 

Free Prom Dresses! Come check out our selection of donated prom dresses for free. Cardinal Closet at Davison High School. See Ms. Hackman or Mr. Coron in Room #260 for details.Donations are also accepted.

DHS Footloose the Musical Technical and Stage Crew - We want you! Contact Mrs. Pins (Room 314) or Mr. Starr (Room P104) to help with the spring musical. Shows are April 16-18. We will need your help the couple of weeks prior as well, this will be for practices, set building and learning about our theater.

DHS Boys’ Powder Buff Volleyball will take place at 3 p.m. April 19 at DHS. $5 for spectators. Practice date April 12. Freshmen/seniors 6-7:30 p.m. and sophomores/juniors 7:30-9 p.m.

Student Opportunity:  West Point Presentation We have a Davison graduate and current West Point cadet joining us to speak about his experience so far at the academy. He will share a PowerPoint presentation followed by an open discussion and Q&A session. Date: Thursday, March 26 Time: 8:20 AM Location: Career Center If you are interested in attending, please sign up in the Counseling Office. We hope you’ll take advantage of this great opportunity to learn more about life at West Point! 

Davison High School production of Footloose the musical takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16, and Friday, April 17 and 2 p.m. April 18. Tickets can be purchased online and are $12 for reserved seating.

The Fishing Club will meet Friday, March 20, from 3:00–4:30 PM. Meetings will be held in Room 107 in the ALT. We’re always looking for new members.  

Local scholarship applications are available now. Visit the Davison High School website under “Guidance/Counseling” to gain access to various local scholarship applications. Deadline for all scholarships is March 25.

DHS Cardinal Clothes Closet

Do you have gently used clothing taking up space in your closet? Help support students in our community by donating items to our Clothing Closet.

We accept:

  • Clean, gently used clothing
  • Seasonal items for young adults
  • New or unused shoes and undergarments

We cannot accept:

  • Old, worn-out shoes
  • Anything with stains, rips, stretching or fading
  • Items with pet hair or strong odors

Your donations help students feel confident and prepared.

Love volunteering and giving back to the community? Join Key Club today! Davison High School Key Club focuses on student-led leadership, servicing our community and building leadership skills. Meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month.

A kind reminder that per our student handbook, perfumes, body sprays and other spray hygiene products are banned items. Please do not spray these in the hallways, classrooms, or the bus.

Tutoring

Tutoring Tuesdays and Thursdays, DHS Library after school until 3:30 p.m. Our tutors are skilled in a variety of subjects or can provide study skills. No need to sign up. Just sign in when you arrive. Please bring any assignments or notes you need help with.

Clubs

DHS Unified Club meets from 2:45-3:30 p.m. Wednesdays in Room #260. The purpose of DHS Unified is to encourage and promote inclusivity and equity and be leaders in our school and community, setting an example for our peers both in school and during sporting events. We will create and sustain change in our school and community. Club Rules: Students will be expected to be respectful of all people no matter their challenges. Everyone is invited. A Unified Club is a club for students with and without intellectual disabilities that come together for sports, games, community service, school events and, most of all, to have fun.

DAVISON HIGH SCHOOL CHESS CLUB meets 2:45-3:45 p.m. every Thursday in Mr. Wilcox’s Room #312

QUIZ BOWL Are you a student in grades 9-12 with a passion for knowledge? Want to test your trivia skills and compete in a fun, fast-paced environment? Quiz Bowl might be the perfect fit for you! What is Quiz Bowl? Quiz Bowl is an exciting team game where two groups compete to answer questions on a wide range of topics, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, and more. It’s a great way to challenge yourself and learn new things. Interested in Joining? See or email out to Mrs. Stedry- Room 220. Quiz Bowl practice on Tuesday, Sept. 30th will be in room 227 in Ms. G’s classroom.

ENVIRONMENTAL CLUB meets 2:40-3:40 p.m. Wednesdays. See Ms. Ruggiero in Room #334 or Mr. Kelsey in Room #240 for details.

KEY CLUB Are you interested in joining a club that gives back to the community? If so, Key Club is the Club for you! High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as making blankets for the homeless, collecting pet food for the Humane Society, and organizing food drives. Members also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects, and holding elected leadership positions. Character building is also a value that Key Club promotes. Character is built through everyday acts of kindness, integrity, and teamwork to foster stronger relationships and communities. Key Club is a student-led organization that provides its members with opportunities to serve, build character, and develop leadership. We welcome people of all backgrounds and ethnicities to join in serving and making a positive difference in our community. If you are interested in joining the club, please stop by and see Mrs. Stedry in room 220. Key Club will meet on the first and third Mondays of each month— in the library immediately after school until 3:05 pm.

ANIME CLUB Anime Club is a community for individuals who share a passion for Japanese animation. It's a place to connect with like-minded people, discuss favorite shows, and discover new anime gems. Whether you're a seasoned otaku or just starting your anime journey, there's a place for you here. What to Expect at Meetings: Anime Watch Parties: Enjoy group screenings of popular and classic anime titles. • Discussion Forums: Share thoughts, theories, and recommendations with fellow members. • Gaming Sessions: Engage in anime-themed games, cards, and board games. • Social Events: Celebrate anime-related holidays and enjoy food-themed gatherings. ASTRONOMY CLUB - meets every Thursday from 2:40-3:40 p.m. in Room #342. Astronomy, Astrophotography, Stargazing.

FISHING CLUB - The Fishing Club will meet every other Friday, starting on January 23, from 3-4:30 PM. Meetings will be held in Room 107 in the ALT. We’re always looking for new members. Everyone is welcome!

Student Parking Info

PARKING PERMIT INFORMATION FOR FALL 2025-2026

Here are a few things you need to know if you plan on driving a vehicle and parking on campus for the 2025-2026 school year.

  1. Permits for Juniors & Seniors will be issued on a first come first serve basis. You must be at least 16 and have a valid driver’s license to secure a parking spot on campus.
  2. Parking Eligibility for SOPHOMORES: Sophomores who are 16 years of age are eligible to apply for parking on campus if you provide the following: Vehicle registration, graduated driver’s license, and 25-26 yellow registration form. Parking privileges will not be granted until all required documentation is received and verified.
  3. If you have outstanding FINES OR FEES you will NOT be issued a parking permit until those have been paid. You can see if you have any fines or fees by logging into your Student VUE.
  4. The parking permit fee is $20. To pay online, you will access the e-Funds site at the DCS homepage on the left hand side. You may also pay cash or check made payable to DCS.
  5. The SENIOR lot is located immediately to the WEST of the building. The JUNIOR lot is located to the WEST of the building at the back of the Senior lot by the soccer fields. The SOPHOMORE lot is located on the SOUTH side of the building in front of the Performing Arts Center.

ALL vehicles parked on campus must be registered with the front office. Failure to do so will have the following consequences.

This is a reminder of Vehicle Registration and Rules Regarding Student Drivers from pages 95-97 of the Parent and Student Handbook.

Refusal to properly register a vehicle or failure to display a valid decal:

  • First Offense: Warning and conference with the student
  • Second Offense: $5 parking fine and parent contact
  • Third Offense: Suspension of student with parent contact and understanding of future consequences.
  • Subsequent Offenses: Suspension of privileges—indefinite and/or possible suspension from school.

Unauthorized parking:

  • First Offense: Warning and conference with the student
  • Second Offense: $5 parking fine and parent contact
  • Third Offense: Suspension of student with parent contact and understanding of future consequences.
  • Subsequent Offenses: Suspension of privileges—indefinite and/or possible suspension from school.

Unauthorized leaving of campus/transporting of passengers:

  • First Offense: Up to 15 school days suspension of driving
  • Second Offense: Up to 45 school days suspension of driving
  • Third Offense: Permanent loss of driving privileges.

Attendance

If your student is absent or late, please call the attendance line at 810-591-1165 to report their absence. 

If your student is late, they should report to the Attendance Office when they arrive and complete a check in and receive a pass to class.

If your student has an appointment and needs to leave school early, please call the attendance line ahead of time at 810-591-1165 to leave a message. Please include your student’s name and the TIME they are to be released. Attendance will have a pass for them to pick up either between hours or at the time they are to be released.

If you are picking the student up, please wait in your vehicle and the student will be sent out at the release time that you indicated.
